Terms of Service

SilentScholar rewrites text you submit so that it reads more naturally. You paste text, choose a mode, and receive a rewritten version. Each rewrite accepts between 20 words and 12,000 characters.

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission, and they must make any purchase.
• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account is for one person. Don’t share or resell access.

• Paid plans are subscriptions billed through Stripe, either monthly or annually. Annual plans are charged once, up front, for twelve months.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel any time from Billing in your dashboard; you keep your plan until the period you paid for ends.
• Each plan includes a number of words per calendar month. Words are counted on the text you submit, not on the result. They reset on the 1st of each month and do not roll over, on both monthly and annual billing.
• Every rewrite uses words, including rewriting the same text again. A rewrite that fails on our side is not charged.
• We may change prices or plan contents. Changes apply from your next renewal, and we will tell you beforehand.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

• Read what you get back. Rewriting is done by AI and can change meaning, drop details or introduce mistakes. You are responsible for checking the result before you use it.
• No detector guarantee. We do not promise that a rewrite will pass any AI-detection tool, plagiarism checker or review. Those tools change often and disagree with each other.
• Follow the rules that apply to you. Schools, employers, publishers and platforms have their own policies on AI assistance and disclosure. Following them is your responsibility, not ours.

• Submit text you have no right to use, or content that is illegal, harassing or designed to deceive people in a way that harms them.
• Probe, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or get around word limits or sign-in.
• Resell the service or build a competing product on top of it without our written permission.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

You keep all rights to the text you submit and to the rewrite you receive. We do not store either one. To produce a rewrite, your text is sent to a third-party AI rewriting provider. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

We work to keep the service running, but it depends on outside providers and may be interrupted, slowed or changed. We may add, change or remove features.

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including academic, professional or reputational consequences of using a rewrite. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

You can stop using the service and delete your account from Settings at any time. We can end or suspend your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as 4, 6 and 8) continue to apply.

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will announce it on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
